What's Happening
ANZAC Day
The community march will be during the school holidays, so we are encouraging you to please attend with your child if you can. We ask that students wear full school uniform and meet at Newey's Dry Cleaners in Sale Street at 9:45 am. Parents/carers need to collect students from the march as it reaches Robertson Park, and before the commencement of the civic commemoration service.
See the flyer below for details about our school ANZAC Day service, which will be held next Thursday at 10:30am.
Return and Earn
Did you know that something as simple as recycling can make a HUGE difference?
At Anson Street School, we're excited to announce our latest initiative which aligns with one of our strategic directions in our School Plan, which is to focus on Environmental Integrity.
We're partnering with local businesses and residents to collect refundable recyclable containers, and we need YOUR help to make it a success!
Here's how it works:
Businesses and residents save their refundable recyclable containers (like cans and bottles). Our amazing students, will come by to pick up these containers.
We'll take these recyclables to the recycling depot at Wangarang Industries and turn them into much-needed funds to support our school programs and activities.
But here's the best part: YOUget to be a part of something truly special! By allowing our students to collect your recyclables, you're not just helping the environment, you're also empowering these incredible kids to reach their full potential.
So, let's join hands and make a positive impact, one recyclable at a time! From Term 2, Yellow Bins with Return and Earn signs will be placed at the entrances of our school during school hours, for you to drop off your cans and plastic and glass bottles.
Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our students. If you're interested in participating or learning more, please reach out to us directly. Your support means the world to us!
