Assistant Principal Report 

Dear Parents and Carers, 

With NAPLAN completed this week, Melton West Primary School would like to say well done for all your efforts! As a school we are really proud at how they have gone about their NAPLAN week and we would also like to congratulate all of our wonderful teachers for the support they have given them. 

NAPLAN is a nationwide assessment for all Grade Three, Five, Seven and Nine students. The best overall assessment of your child though continues to be from their classroom teacher who will consider a variety of assessments throughout the school year as well as their own anecdotal records.

We have also celebrated Harmony Day on Thursday. What a wonderful sea of colour it was throughout the day of students either wearing the Harmony Day orange or their traditional cultural clothes. As a school we are very proud of the many nationalities that make up our community. Thank you also to Maria Robertson who had a busy morning serving delicious popcorn.
