Chess Tournaments 

Northern Star Chess is this year conducting an extensive program of Secondary Open Zonal Interschool Chess tournaments.  

If you would like your child to to attend please contact Tim from Northern Star directly at northernstarchess003@gmail.com.

Currently we do not have a school chess team.

• There is still a little space available at Karingal Primary School in Frankston next Tuesday 26 March

Term 2

• Thurs 18 April, the Kryal Castle Chess Shield at Kryal Castle, Ballarat (nearly full) FULL 
• Wed 24 April at Doncaster Gardens PS
• Tues 7 May at Hampton Park Primary
• Thurs 9 May at Preston PS
• Mon 20 May at St Oliver Plunkett, Pascoe Vale
• Wed 29 May at Balwyn North PS
• Wed 5 June at Peninsula Grammar, Mt Eliza
• Thurs 13 June at Lilydale PS
• Thurs 20 June at Kangaroo Ground PS

Term 3

Term 4 - State Finals

I note that a number of our Primary State Semi final and final dates are locked in.  The State dates can be viewed at:  https://northernstarchess.com/Finals_Dates.html

All Zonal tournaments run from 9.30 to 2.00, cost $25 per player, and are open to school teams of all sizes, including individuals.  To book Zonal places, request tournament flyers, or if you have any questions, please contact Tim at northernstarchess003@gmail.com
