Grandparents and Special Friends Day

Grandparents and Special Friends Day at our Burnie campus was quite lovely indeed! Beginning with a wonderful program that included singing and drumming, then onto classroom visits.  Students were proud to show grandma and grandpa (and special friends) the work they have been doing throughout Term 1. 

Drumbeat Program

During Term 1, Stephanie Donovan from Anglicare came to our school to run the Drumbeat Program.  During drumbeat, students explored concepts such as resilience, emotions, relationships and much more through the playing of the djembe (African drum).  The students in the program celebrated their successes by performing at our recent Grandparents and Special Friends assembly. 

We are very grateful to Anglicare and Stephanie for organising this program for us and we look forward to having them in our school again next year.
