Our Faith - Religious Education

Thank you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week 'Pray with Hope' with us last week. 

Our students and staff participated in special prayer celebrations throughout the week. 

Our Year 6 students also represented our school at the Catholic Schools Week Mass at O'Connor (De La Salle Chapel) last Thursday.  

Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal 

Our wonderful Mini Vinnies group are currently preparing their posters to promote our Winter Appeal. This year we will have a Winter PJ day on Wednesday 3rd July with activities on the day. We are asking for donations of winter items for those in need (Eg. new clothing, new blankets, non-perishable foods etc). More information to come. 

Year 6 RE Test

Our Year 6 students will complete the formal Year 6 RE Test on Tuesday, 18th June. If you have a child in Year 6, it would be great if you could ask them some common questions around the Church, Sacraments, Beliefs, Scripture and Prayer & Liturgy. Here is an example of some questions asked in the practice RE test...

CSNSW Message Stick

CSNSW  State Aboriginal Conference Message Stick is at St Mary's  in Week 7. The Message Stick will travel across the diocese spreading the message of this year's conference theme: “Spirit on Country: Learning Together, then, now & always”. Our school will be holding an Assembly at 8:50 am on the 17th June in the School Hall. All Parents & Friends are welcome to attend this special assembly.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The 2024 Parish RCIA program WILL BE COMMENCING on Sunday 16 June.

If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or you have not received all of the Sacraments of initiation into the Church and you would like to join the group on a SUnday evening at 7pm for 20 weeks, please contact the Parish Office to register  - 67722218.
