Please send all communications to our school email: beaumaris.ps@education.vic.gov.au. One of our admin team members, Robyn, Cath or Ellie, will forward your email to the relevant staff members who will then be in touch.

ABSENCES

Student absences should be reported to the school before 9:00am via the Compass portal or phoning the school office. Any unexplained absences will result in parents/guardians receiving an email at 9:30am on the day of non-attendance requesting they update Compass with the reason for non-attendance.

LATE ARRIVAL OR EARLY LEAVE

In order to minimise disruption to class and maximise learning opportunities for our students, we would like to remind you that the school day starts promptly at 9:00am. If your child is late for any reason, please sign them in at the office via the Compass Kiosk. Your child will then collect a late pass which they'll give to their teacher.

If your child is leaving early, please come to the front office to collect them. Please ensure that you sign them out using the Compass Kiosk. One of our admin staff members will page for your child to come down to the office.

Compass	Stop Press School Newsletter Includes important dates, an outline of What’s Happening in each year level, school news and a message from our Principal team.	Every fortnight on a Thursday
Compass	School communication which may include further details for excursions or incursions, event information and reminders, year level messages, parent helper messages, etc.	Every Thursday
Compass	Event notifications with event details, consent and payment details – for excursions, incursions and sporting events.	On a Thursday: 6 weeks prior to the event date if payment is required. 2 weeks prior to the event date if only parent consent is required. Reminder sent on a Thursday to those who have not consented and/or paid in the lead up to the event date.
Compass	Reminders for classroom activities.	Class teacher email via Compass as required.
Compass	School Calendar – you will find key dates on Compass, as well as in our Stop Press School Newsletter.	Ongoing
Email	We ask that all communication is sent to the Beaumaris Primary School email address Beaumaris.ps@education.vic.gov.au to ensure that it is directed to the best person to respond and to ensure smooth communication channels. Our staff will reply via Compass. If you wish to make a time to meet with a member of our staff, please get in touch via email and we can arrange a time.
In person	Our doors are always open. Please see our teachers in the yard or in their classroom from 8:45am. Our Principal team, David, Grace or Ellen, will also be in the yard every morning from 8:45am and every afternoon from 3:30pm.
In person	Whole School Assembly, led by our student leaders.	Weekly, Friday at 3pm – under the blue shade cloth.
Compass	Semester Reports	Available to Parents and Carers at the end of Term 2 and 4.
In person	Parent Teacher Interviews	These occur twice a year – early in Term 1 and early in Term 3.
