Grandparents' and Special Friends Morning

There was so much love in the air last Friday morning as we welcomed lots of Grandparents and other special friends to school to share a story and some fun activities. We are pleased to report all the Nonnas, Pas, Tetas, Dedos, Dadas, Grannies and Yiayias were on their best behaviour and lots did beautiful colouring! Thank you to those who were able to come and share such a special morning with our students - they were sad to see you all go. Please view the video below for some of the highlights of the morning. You might like to share the Youtube link with your Grandparents' and Special Friends as well.

Our next family event will be our Father's Day Morning on Friday 31st August, 8.45am to 9.45am. We look forward to welcoming all the Dads or other significant people back to our school that day.

Weetbix Active Bands

Thank you to all the students and families who have activated their Weetbix Bands. It has been great to see all the teachers and students scanning their bands and incorporating more intentional physical activity into their days.

Unfortunately lost or damaged bands can not be replaced so please look after them.

A reminder that the purpose of the bands is to encourage more movement and activity in the children. If your child is doing that even if the band is not working, then the goal is being met!

St Mary MacKillop Feast Day Celebrations

Our feast day celebrations are well under way for next Thursday. Families are invited to attend the liturgy in the morning in Penola from 9.30am to approximately 10.15am, however please note that space is limited and it will be standing room only.

A reminder to all budding artists to hand in your finished St Mary of the Cross MacKillop inspired artworks by tomorrow.

Don't forget to get your best party outfit and disco attire ready to party up a storm at our disco next Thursday. Please note that disco attire is permitted at the liturgy in the morning as well!
