BRILLIANT RESULTS & EFFORTS

 @ REGIONAL XC

It was certainly a true Cross Country feel on Wednesday this week, with the weather being cold, wet under foot and a touch windy!  We had two of our Year 6 students make it to this level; Charli C (12/13G) and Angus H (12/13B). Both students travelled down to the Hastings foreshore with their families for this event.

We’d like to congratulate Charli and Angus - both coming well inside the top 20 for their respective races!  This is an incredible achievement for our strong Southern Metropolitan Region of talented runners.  Charli came an impressive 16th, whilst Angus came in 13th, just missing a spot for States by 1 placing - how amazing is that!

Many thanks to both parents for taking them down to Hastings and helping cheer them on over the day.

LIGHTNING PREM. TOURNAMENT TIME

It’s been a big week for many of our Year 5 & 6 students, with them participating in the Dendy District Lightning Premiership Soccer and Netball tournaments. Despite the cold and wet conditions on Wednesday morning, our two soccer teams headed off to Kooyong and played in their round-robin 9-a-side tournament.  Both teams did an amazing job, coming away with a few wins in their pool games.  Our boys managed to get through to the semi-finals, however were defeated by Galilee in this final.

A massive thank you goes to our attending coaching staff; Miss Bourke and Alessia, as well as supporting parents; Mark Imbriano and Kerrie Varallis - we really appreciate you giving up your day to support our students.

Today we have our three netball teams playing in their Dendy LP netball tournament at Duncan McKinnon courts.  We’ll report on their day in next week’s newsletter.
