Community Announcements

I would like to extend an invite to you to come down to the club and we would love to have you register for our blasters program. https://www.playhq.com/cricket-australia/org/holy-trinity-cricket-club/8e870a8e/register the link to register.

We have a couple of our junior women / girls helping out with this and I would encourage you to come along. We have a program starting at Hayes Park on the 26th of October (0900 – 10 / 1030) where we have a great group of volunteers helping out. I would really like to keep the girls together if we can. The blasters program would be great for all of the girls that we had down at Wales Street and we focus on fun and skills and get the parents involved.

Our Junior Girls practice Sunday mornings (0930 – 11 – Hayes Park) and if you cant make Saturday we also play games and have a lot of fun and all are welcome to join us. Our senior Women also play on Sunday mornings (Hayes Park) so it is a great atmosphere at the club. We also have a mums / friends and daughters (very) social team that plays on a Sunday afternoon 1-3 (every second week) so again please touch base if this is of interest. For the girls’ teams, games are Wednesday evenings 5 – 7 (we would be keen for all of the girls to progress to games in the future but like to give them an opportunity to come and have fun and try before committing to games!).

We were incredibly impressed with the skills on show for the girls and would love to have them down at the club to continue to develop these skills in a fun, safe, inclusive environment. Cricket is an amazing sport, and I have enjoyed seeing the time my daughter gets around the team to form great friendship groups (with girls from school and other schools as well). I feel this is different to many other activities as there is more time for creating those relationships. We have a social program and a pathway program for those that have been inspired by the World Cup!

You are welcome to commit to as much or as little as you like. Games go for 2 hours even when they start to get older so it isn’t a full day burden like many people may perceive (unless you are playing for Victoria etc!). We would love to get you all involved if we can in creating a great environment for the girls and seeing them succeed!
