State Lawn Bowls Championships

We hope the following students have a great day when they compete in the State Lawn Bowls Championships tomorrow in Sunbury – Nash Charles, Natalie Farquharson, Max Mitchell, Silas Walsh, Bodhi Baker and Dusty McCrimmon. Students will travel by car to this event. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and school hat, bring along their snacks, lunch, fruit and drink bottle. Please apply sunscreen before coming to school. The cars will leave Sacred Heart gym car park at 7:00am. We wish these students all the best.

T-20 Cricket

Good luck to the selected students who will be representing Sacred Heart in the Colac Division T-20 Cricket Tournament this Friday at Colac Central Reserve. Students will travel by bus to this event. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and school hat, bring along their snacks, lunch, fruit and drink bottle. Please apply sunscreen before coming to school.

State Athletics

Good luck to the following students who will compete in the State Athletics on Wednesday 6th November at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park - Alexis Perkins, Regan Smart, Nash Charles, Phoebe Robb, Sophie Wheadon and Lily Simon. We hope they have a fantastic day. Students will travel with their parents to this event. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and school hat.

Colac Division Golf Tournament

The new date for the Colac Division Golf Tournament is on Friday 15th November at the Colac Golf Club. The day will commence at 9:15am and finish at 1:15pm. All students who were in the earlier tournament that we had to cancel (due to bad weather), please remember that you do not have to pay your $5 again.

If there are any new students in Years 5 and 6 who would like to participate in a modified 9 course game of golf please see Ms Lynch for an entry form. New students who enter the tournament must have an adult to walk around the course with them. The adult responsibilities include safety, etiquette and scoring where necessary. 

Please Note: We must have 1 adult to every 3 children, so you may be able to make an arrangement with friends. These helpers must have a current Working With Children Check. Interested students can collect an entry form at the school gym. The cost for the day is $5.00.

For all students who were already enrolled in the golf tournament, can you please complete the PAM permission form again. Thanks for your co-operation.

1. What sports do you play? The sport I play is basketball.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is basketball.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Basketball is my favourite sport because it is a great game and I like working as a team.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I scored a three in basketball.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is that I am good at practising my basketball skills.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because I like playing sport as a team.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Michael Jordan.

8. Why are they your favourite? Michael Jordan is my favourite sports person because he was a great basketball player and he was one of the best basketball players ever.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Golden State Warriors Basketball Team.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am competitive.

1. What sports do you play? The sport I play is netball.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is netball.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Netball is my favourite sport because I love the game and enjoy playing with my friends. It also keeps me fit.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when we won a netball game 18 – 2.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my defending skills and I am fast.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it keeps me fit and I like being active.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Liz Watson.

8. Why are they your favourite? Liz Watson is my favourite sports player because she is inspires me to work hard. She is very fast on the court and I want to play like her.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Melbourne Vixens netball team.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am amazing at defending in netball and good at dodging.

1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are basketball, soccer and football.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is basketball.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Basketball is my favourite sport because I am good at it.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when my team won the Grand final in basketball and I got Most Valuable Player in the match.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my fitness, I can keep running.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I get to play with my friends.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is AFL footballer Shae Bolton.

8. Why are they your favourite? Bolton is my favourite player because he plays such a good game of football for Richmond.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports teams are the Richmond Tigers and Australian Boomers (Men’s National Basketball team).

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am good at sport and that I try very hard.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Soccer is my favourite sport because it is fun and I love the game.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sports moment was when I kicked a goal in soccer.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strength in sport is my speed. I try and run fast.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and it gives me energy.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sport person is soccer player Lionel Messi.

8. Why are they your favourite? Messi is my favourite sports person because he is a famous soccer player and he is very good.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Barcelona soccer team.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? Coaches and teammates would say that I am a good soccer player who tries very hard.
