Principals Message

Dear parents and carers,

We are off to a great start this term. Our first priority every day is to check in with children who may have experienced some type of concern the day before. The leadership team checks in with each child and helps set them up for a better day. This good start can have a wonderful impact on the rest of the day.

Our students come to school with a million thoughts in their little heads. Some come excited, some calm, some a bit sad and some angry. They bring worries and fears and ideas and a desire to learn. They are all at different stages of development and from a variety of backgrounds.

All our students deserve a future full of hope and joy, that is our wish for each of them. Accessing the curriculum needs to be equitable and it is vital that we have a strong partnership with each of you.

Communication is key! Never think you can’t contact us with any concerns or ideas. I am often included in emails from teachers to parents and from parents to teachers. I like this as it is my nature to want to know what is going on in our school. Don't feel you have to of course, but also know I am very happy to hear from you.

I strongly encourage parents to email or call me if you have any concerns especially if you are struggling with an ongoing issue. If your child has a worry about anything at school please let us know as soon as possible. We have many strategies we can use to intervene and help support your child.

I am always available for parents and carers and no problem is too small.

Kind regards,

Jen
