Mentally Healthy School

Mental Health Week 2024

A wonderful way to finish off the first week at school for Term 4.

The students engaged in various mental health activities through the week and were then able to participate in a community lunch with their parents, grandparents and other support people.

There was a positive vibe throughout the event and so many wonderful comments to staff.

We thank you for taking the time to share lunch with your children and the school community.

I would like to give a huge to shout out to all the staff, for making this event so successful. Thank you!

Please reach out if you are in need of some assistance with your mental health.  We have people and professional resources to assist you.

Tough Stuff Program - Year 5/6 Emus

We would like to say Congratulations to our Year 5/6 Emus for participating in the Zero2Hero Tough Stuff 4km Run on Thursday 10th May on a 29 degree day!

We were so very proud of them all, not only participating in the Tough Stuff 8 week program, but also in their amazing efforts in the 4km run in addition to helping coordinate, prepare and pack away the event.

We are so very grateful for our Tough Stuff Program facilitators Annabel, Vince and Sophia in developing our student's wonderful knowledge and skills with them in their toolkit for life. We appreciate their inclusivity and supporting our access to this wonderful program.

Thanks to the Emus achievement with staff and parent support, Zero2Hero would love to come back next year and run the program again!

The Emus were amazing in their efforts which they couldn't have done without the wonderful support of Ms Henriques, Mr Lee and Ms Watkin for enthusiastically embracing the program throughout Term 3 with our electrifying team of EA's. A special shout out to our fabulous ground crew support on the day who supported and also role modelled the run including Mrs Barr, Mr Jones and Ms Henriques. Thank you to Mrs Boardman and Mr Beilken for supporting the students in their run.

Thank you to our Emus parents, grandparents, carers and caregivers for supporting the participation of our students.

Thank you to all of the wonderful support of all staff and students who made special growth mindset posters to cheer them as they did the laps around the oval. The students were so excited about their achievement and the support they received, a wonderful way to celebrate Mental Health week.
