Daily Chores

Ask your child to choose a daily chore that they will be responsible for, such as making their bed, putting toys away, or helping set the table. 

Each time your child acquires a new skill, it's a chance to remind them that they are growing up and developing responsibility: "When you were five, I helped you put silverware on the table. But now that you are six, you know how to set the whole table all by yourself!"
