Physical Education

2025 PE and sports are off and running with lots already happening and lots of preparation going on for upcoming activities.

On the first day of school for grades 1-6  we had a P.E. session focussing on some new games that will be repeated during huff n' puff this term.

Weeks 2 and 3 we learnt a few more new games and developed some skills for cricket.

For whole-school sport times we have new squads.

Blue - Megaminds and Stitches

Green - Kiwis and Theodores

Red - Flames and Rubies

Yellow - Bananas and Mangoes

The small squads gives plenty of opportunity for all to participate.

Kaboom Sports

What a great morning we had for our Kaboom Sports! Kaboom Sports is a Tabloid Sports program that gives Grade 6 students the ability to lead their group through the different activities. The Activities are designed for students to work together and have fun! There was lots of dancing including teacher dance-offs and much more! The kids had a wonderful morning and they were so resilient in the heat! IT was wonderful seeing so many smiling and happy faces!

We were thrilled to have Kaboom Sports come out and run this incursion for the students! We were lucky to receive a Wellbeing Grant last year that we used to pay for this wonderful experience!

Some thoughts from Grade 3:

"Fun, but hot.  The spinning wheel exercises and scream!!!"  Darcie

"I liked the throwing one like a windmill.  We went cuckoo in the conga line" Liam

"Hitting on a golf tunnels was good"  Taylor

"I liked the dancing warm-up" Annabelle

"My favourite sport was the one when you hit the ball to a partner with a ring thing" Blake

"Really, really fun, but really, really hot. I liked flicking the ball up with the net' Aleisha

"It was tiring because it was a lot of work"  Ivy
