Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub
This week marked the return of the Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub, and everyone was thrilled to reconnect. In our English class, we delved into our school values of Respect, Resilience, Excellence, and Collaboration. We discussed and envisioned an ideal learning environment, exploring how it should look, sound, and feel. It was heartwarming to witness the students working together and sharing their thoughts on what they value in the classroom.
The playgroup children also had a fantastic time, reuniting after the holidays and welcoming new friends.
Additionally, on Wednesday, February 19th, we had the privilege of honouring one of our dedicated volunteers, Dildar Begum, who received the Sir John Reid Community Service Award, generously presented by the Rotary Club. Dildar was accompanied by her family, our School Principal Debbie Cottier, myself, Jana Hovic (our Community Hubs support coordinator from AMES), and our CEO of Community Hubs Australia Bec Kotow, along with our Head of Program Julianne Gardiner. Dildar's inspiring story shines as a testament to her unwavering dedication, commitment, and selfless contributions to our Springvale Rise community. Congratulations to Dildar on this well-deserved recognition!
