Specialist Feature News: Performing Arts
Selamat Siang,
Wow! What a big term this has been beginning with swimming lessons and Mount Pleasant's Got Talent, and finishing with many great learning opportunities in all of our Specialist classes.
Science Week, Indonesian Day, Dance Troupe excelling in an external competition and lots of athletics events with too many winners to name. There certainly is a lot of cause for celebration and pride in all of our student's achievements.
Over the past few weeks in Performing Arts, students from Foundation to Year 2 have explored elements of role play and song performance which highlights their ability to tell a story through a creative medium.
Students in Year 3 and 4 have been polishing up their vocal abilities and performing in small ensembles a choice of thematic songs to tie in with the Summer Olympics this year and have also learned a whole class dance, "Let me take you to Rio" during Planning Week.
Our senior students in Year 5 and 6 have produced their own short scripts to perform a monologue entitled, " A day in the life of an Olympic athlete." They have also had fun with some Tik Tok related dance, "Bye Bye Bye".
We wish all of our families a safe, fun and relaxing holiday break.
Terima Kasih,
The Specialist Team
