Term 3 - Week 10
Kim and Stephan are having a fabulous time on their Europe trip, exploring the sights and visiting family and friends. Kim even found some shoes that fit! They send their best and are looking forward to seeing you all next term!
We (Erin and Amanda) want to thank all of our fabulous staff for helping us out while Kim has been away! It has been a busy time and a great end to a fabulous term. What a community!
We wish all our staff, students and families an enjoyable holiday and look forward to an exciting Term 4.
On Wednesday, the Foundation and 1/2 students had an exciting day celebrating their Guided Inquiry Showcase, "The MPRPS Junior Olympics." In preparation, we explored the character strengths of athletes, as well as the sports and countries involved in the Olympic and Paralympic games. Each grade designed their own T-shirts to showcase their team spirit, fostering a sense of unity and pride. Students participated in eight engaging Olympic events, including basketball, athletics, rugby, hockey, gymnastics, archery, fencing, and soccer. The atmosphere was filled with joy and enthusiasm as students demonstrated their skills, teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship. We were delighted to see so many families in attendance, along with visits from our senior school students, which helped strengthen connections within our wider community. It was a truly memorable day of fun, learning, and celebration
The Statements of Intent for each Learning Centre are linked below and available on our website. These documents outline the Victorian Curriculum, events, assessment and portfolio tasks and are a valuable resources for conversations about school at home.
Please note the following changes for the Digital Technologies Community Forum and the BYOD iPad Information Session for current Grade 3 parents/carers.
What a way to end the term with a sea of sporting colours! Students across the school dressed up in their favourite local, state and national team colours and enjoyed some fun activities throughout the day. Thanks to Hamish for organising rotations for the students to participate in.
Pastels and glitter filled the stage as the Senior Dance Troupe dazzled audiences at the Time to Shine dance competition last Sunday. The talented performers had dedicated the entire term to rehearsals, and their hard work truly paid off as they clinched first place! The adjudicator was so impressed that the troupe was invited back on stage to celebrate their achievement. Special thanks to Tegan Kitteringham for her exceptional choreography and countless hours of guidance that helped the students shine. A huge thanks to Sarah Cullen as well for coming along on Sunday to assist and organising the students! It was a memorable day for everyone involved!
