Have a wonderful and safe term break everyone!
Three-Year-Olds
Dharug - We have had a fantastic last week of term. The 3YO group had a wonderful time out on the school oval flying paper kites. We have seen some great curiosity, creativity and experimentation this week after some of the children were challenged to consider engaging with different resources and experiences beyond their usual play choices. There has been so much growth and learning this term, and we cannot wait to see what Term 4 brings.
Four-Year-Olds
Budja - lots of teamwork and collaborative work as the children helped each other problem solve and build tunnels and water tunnels in the creek. The children were using pipes and water pumps to move the water to different areas. We had a wonderful last day of term celebrating with our footy dress up day.
Marram - This week we had fun using rhythm sticks to tap along songs and music. It was wonderful to see children engaging in more collaborative play working together to achieve shared goals. The children used the bamboo channels to construct a “home” for dinosaurs in the sandpit. The Lego was a hit, encouraging more teamwork and focus as the children engaged in their construction projects.
It has been an incredibly busy and positive term at Kinder, we had Lisa from Treasured Impressions take our Kinder photos of Tuesday, with the children really enjoying the thought of their families having pictures from Kinder to share.
The children also helped to set up our 'space tent', a large hanging space surrounded by black plastic. This will be something that we start term 4 learning about, with our new UV lights and some amazing art, creativity and dramatic play lined up.
