Humanities - Holocaust Museum excursion

For our excursion to the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, we were given an introduction of how the tragic events happened and what our day there was going to consist of. We were then split off into groups of around 5 to 6 people and had a tour guide to show us around the museum and learn new things that had happened.

In the museum, there were models of the Treblinka extermination Camp and the Czestochowa Synagogue, which were both donated by a survivor.  As well as a tour, we were able to look close up at artifacts from during the time of the Holocaust. These included id cards, a children’s book, photos, match boxes and a poster. We then were able to speak to a survivor, Abram Goldberg, were we got to ask him questions about his experience during and after the time of the Holocaust.
