The time for Year 8 Readers’ Cup is fast approaching! Students across the Year 8 level will read 3 novels: Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carman, Don’t Call Me Ishmael by Michael Gerard Bauer, and The Giver by Lois Lowry, and compete in a quiz competition, to be held on Tuesday 22nd October during Periods 1 and 2.
Participating in the competition we have:
Sarthak Negi representing 8E
Farhana Amusa, Mia Dreyer, and Emily Costa representing 8G
Axl Hart and Ari Redman representing 8N
Edie Bone, Miranda Linton, Ethan Pearce, and Robert Hole representing 8P
Parneet Kaur representing 8R

Good luck to all!
Make A Book In A Day will be running again this year. This is an opportunity open to all Year 7 students who may wish to participate. The activity consists of students forming teams, attending lunchtime meetings (and potentially an author talk), and planning, writing, editing, and illustrating their very own book on a certain date totally within the library later this term.
There are new additions to our AudioBook ePlatform:
- Cop and Robber by Tristan Bancks
- One of Us is Back (One of us is lying #3) by Karen McManus
- Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
The books listed are also available on our bookshelves.
