Dance Academy
DanceStar State Qualifier
On Saturday May 2 we had a chance to compete our Year 8 jazz troupe against a few other secondary schools. It was a great experience but sadly we did not get through to state finals. Our class tried their hardest, performed with pride and had lots of fun. Thank you to Ms Quenette and Miss Occhietti for letting us perform and to all the choreographers for creating our wonderful dances.

On the 2 May, Berwick College Dance Academy attended the TFT Dance Star Competition. Each year level competed one dance as class troupe. Some students got the opportunity to be in extra troupes with mixed year levels which was a great experience. Some girls entered solos, competed and did very well. This was a very fun competition, and everyone did so well and gave it their all. I'm so glad we can have opportunities and experiences like this in the Dance Academy.

BCDA 2027 Auditions
Thank you to our Grade 6’s and their families for attending our BCDA Information Session on April 29. It was so lovely to present how proud we are of our dance program and to meet all of you. Our 2027 auditions will be held on July 14 from 4 pm in our Performing Arts Centre for students offered a position at Berwick College for 2027.
We can’t wait to see you there!
Berwick College Choreographic Competition
Our annual Berwick College Choreographic Competition is quickly approaching with students already underway planning and creating their own choreography. This competition showcases student agency in dance and allows students to explore their own personal movement. We welcome all Berwick College students to enter, not just our academy students. Please see our flyer or come and see Ms Quenette in the PAC office.
Students will compete on July 17 from 3:30 pm in the Performing Arts Centre
