Our Vision: To develop people of purpose, character and capacity whose contributions strengthen communities.

The first week of term, although busy was a great cultural start to Term 2. Students and staff participated in the annual Athletics Carnival, ANZAC Assembly and commemorations and a vigorous, highly contested staff versus student football match.
Our student leaders ensured Berwick College was visibly and beautifully represented to the wider community through joining in the ANZAC Day march and ceremony at Berwick.

I was absolutely delighted to witness our team win the NBA Rising Stars Invitational Qualifying Tournament to take the position representing Australian schools in Singapore next month. Our students played as a whole team, having the depth to rotate on and off the court evenly, to lead and support each other.
Their metacognition and ability to think creatively under immense pressure was evident and a testament to the education program that underpins our Basketball program. I felt proud watching them playing so well knowing that they are also receiving an exceptional education.
Learning Technologies at Berwick College
Berwick College is currently seeking to increase the capability of both staff and students to effectively use their lap top device to learn. Learning involves the organisation, reorganisation, retrieval and application of knowledge. In order for us to scaffold students effectively, we need to explicitly teach them to use the laptop to learn. This is best achieved when the teacher and all students are operating on a common platform. The school IT infrastructure has a finite capacity. For this reason, we are no longer able to connect any tablet device, MacBook, chrome box or iPad to the school's Wi-Fi. We are also only able to connect computers with the Windows platform. Over the coming years we will seek to move all students onto a commonly imaged device. In the meantime, please understand that the school is no longer able to connect devices such as MacBooks and tablets.
