Saver Plus- Support for School Camps
School camps provide valuable learning and personal development opportunities for students. We understand, however, that the associated costs can be challenging for some families.
Saver Plus is a free matched‑savings and financial education program that supports eligible families to plan and save for school camps and other education‑related expenses.
How the program works:
- Families save up to $50 per month for 10 months
- Complete free, online MoneyMinded financial education workshops
- Savings are matched dollar‑for‑dollar, up to $500
This means families could access up to $1,000 to use towards:
- School camps
- School uniforms
- Laptops or devices
- Stationery and other education‑related costs
Families can join at any time throughout the year. Once the program is completed, matched funds are available to use for approved school expenses.
Eligibility (all criteria must be met):
- Hold a current Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card
- Receive an eligible Centrelink payment
- Have a child in school (including children starting school next year or homeschooled), or be studying themselves
- Have a regular income (from employment, Carer Payment, Child Support or casual income)
- Be 18 years or older
- Have not previously completed the Saver Plus program
Families can check eligibility or request a callback via the Saver Plus website or by calling 1300 610 355.
Flyers for families are attached, including details about upcoming free information sessions.
