From the Principal

ANZAC Day Thank you
What a fantastic turn out our school experienced for ANZAC Day this year. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to be involved. I have had so many lovely comments about how wonderful our school was in the march.
Thank you to our School Captains; Grace, Lotte, Bejay and Patrick, who represented us beautifully laying the wreath at the Dawn Service. It was an early morning for them and they presented themselves impeccably.
Volunteer induction meeting reminder
Any volunteers that we have in our school, whether they are parents, grandparents or friends of our families who do any type of volunteering for St Joseph's School are required to attend a short volunteer induction. This ranges from our canteen volunteers to any volunteers who help cook a BBQ or time sports races at any of our sporting events.
This induction meeting covers mandatory modules such as evacuation and lockdown procedures, child protection and general protocols for volunteering in our school.
We will have two sessions on the 7th May, to be held in the Library (2.30pm attendees come through the front office, and the 5pm attendees come through the pick up gate near the kinder room). These will not go any longer than 30 minutes.
If you have attended an induction in previous years, it is requested that you attend this to refresh your understanding of our safety requirements. There is no need to RSVP, please just turn up.
Mother's Day
And what a wonderful day it will be! We are very much looking forward to sharing morning tea with our mums in the hall. Children will bring their already packed morning tea to the hall. Mums will be fed with scones and sandwiches, and a cuppa.
Please enter via Douglas Street carpark gate.
After morning tea we go into our child's classroom until 12 noon when the children will return to their normal classes.
Please get your RSVP form in if you have not already done so.
