Upper school Electives
Anna's games group spent Wednesday afternoon's session planning and playing their own invented games. Here they are playing a triangular tag game invented by Lawson, Sam, Archie and Niels.
The photography group learned about dynamic lighting with Naomi this week. When the sun wasn't disappearing behind clouds, students tried to use the shadows to enhance their photos. Dexter and John used some artificial light for their Lego space photos.
The Kitchen Garden team had a very productive session. They spent an hour planting with community members as part of the Intergenerational Gardening Program before coming back to school and baking banana, choc-chip muffins in our school kitchen. Thank you to the students who volunteered to help sell these at the canteen yesterday.
Younger Years Rotations
The Preps and Year 1s did some creating with Ellen on Monday afternoon in preparation for a special event this Sunday. Shh... They should be in student's bags this afternoon. I'm sure they'll be appreciated with breakfast in bed on Sunday.
The Year 2s conducted an experiment to examine how water can travel along a string. Leon and Gene managed to get the water to travel down the string all the way from the classroom deck to the ground. They found that the water was most attracted to the string if the string was already soaked.
The Year 3s had a Kitchen Garden session with Kathryn on Monday. They baked banana muffins for students to purchase as part of their lunch.
