Reading
Over the past two weeks in Reading, Foundation students continued to develop their predicting skills by exploring a range of picture story books and anticipating what might happen next. They drew pictures as well as roleplaying scenarios and making things to show their predictions. Students also revised the High Frequency Words that they learned throughout the term by finding them in big books and practicing reading them.

While building their understanding in subtraction, the Foundation students continued to use number bonds to explore how numbers can be taken away to find out what is left. Students investigated different strategies such as counting all, counting back and using zero to solve simple addition and subtraction problems.

They also learned that Earth is a special place for everyone as it provides people with air, water, and food.
