Dear School Community,

As we come to the end of a busy and successful term, I would like to sincerely thank our staff for the care, commitment and professionalism shown to our students and one another. 

This term has held both strength and sorrow, particularly as we grieved the passing of Verity. The compassion and support shown across our community during this time has been deeply moving and reflects our shared values.

Thank you to Sean Perry and Toni Fitzgerald for stepping into the roles of Heads of Campus. Your leadership and service have been greatly appreciated. 

We also warmly welcome Cathy back to St Patrick’s and Sean back to Our Lady of La Vang.

We extend our best wishes to Samantha, Manita and Kelly (STP) as they prepare to welcome their new babies, and farewell Ryan and Kelisha (OLOLV), thanking them for their contributions to our school community.

This evening brings families together to hear the voices of others and engage in conversations about post‑school planning with hope. Further information will follow, please save the date.

Morning teas for parents of senior students will also be held next term to provide additional information and support in the planning of PATH.

• Our Lady of La Vang School Campus - 7th of May

   

Work has commenced on marketing and branding as we move forward with a change to the "Catholic Special School" name, with key stakeholders contributing to the early stages. 

We have also begun a new partnership with Adelaide University focused on strengthening Mathematics teaching and learning for students.

Building works at Our Lady of La Vang have been approved by council. The proposal for St Patrick’s has been partially denied, with an appeal and revised design submitted. Updates will be shared as this progresses.

Next term, both campuses will continue Berry Street Education Model training on our Pupil Free Day. This will continue to develop staff's professional knowledge and support students with our positive behaviour strategies.

We have also shared many beautiful prayerful moments this term, including Holy Week activities, Harmony Day celebrations, and the introduction of regular staff prayer.

As the term concludes, we extend our best wishes to all families for the break ahead and thank you for your continued support and engagement with our school community.
