Pope's Prayer Intentions

Community Masses 2025
Throughout the year, the Pope offers us a monthly prayer intention. Each month is a different focus for our prayer and a way to be one with the Holy Father and his prayers.
During this Jubilee Year, we will once again be offering the opportunity to take home our 'Pilgrim Image' of Mary for a weekend during Semester 1. A photo of the image is below.
During your chosen weekend you can place the image in a special place of honour in your home and use it as a focus for your family prayer. There will also be a booklet inside that has some prayers you may like to pray together as a family. There will also be blank pages on which you are invited to create a special family prayer to Mary. Other families may choose to pray your prayer also when they host the image in their homes.
Using the School Interviews link below, choose a Friday/Weekend that best suits you.
John, or your child's teacher, will give the carry bag, with the image and prayer booklet, to your child in the afternoon on the Friday of your booking. You will then take it home for the weekend.
Please return the carry bag, image and booklet to John or your child's teacher the following Monday morning.

On Christmas Eve, the Holy Father opened the Holy Door at St Peter's Basilica, and so opened the Holy Year 2025 - or the Jubilee of Hope.
The Jubilee is intended to be a moment of genuine encounter with the Lord Jesus, who is referred to as the "door" of salvation. It is an opportunity for believers to experience interior renewal, conversion, and a deeper understanding of their faith. The Holy Father encourages all participants, whether they travel to Rome or celebrate locally, to seek a personal encounter with Christ during this time.
The concept of hope is central to the Jubilee of Hope. Pope Francis highlights that hope is a virtue that enables individuals to trust in God's promises and to look forward to the fulfilment of those promises in their lives. This theme resonates particularly in a world where many face despair and uncertainty, offering a message of encouragement and renewal.
We encourage all in our school community to take up the many opportunities provided throughout this year to deepen their relationships with Jesus.
As we prepare for 2025 and the School-based Sacramental Program, a letter was sent home last year for families to indicate their intention for their child to celebrate a sacrament next year. Thank you to those families who have already returned this note.
If you wish for your child/ren to prepare for and celebrate a sacrament in 2025, and have not yet returned the note, please return it as soon as possible. If you no longer have a copy of the note, please use send a message to your child's teacher indicating which sacrament you would like them to celebrate this year. Alternatively, you can email me using the email at the bottom of this page.
If you have a child in any year level and you are interested in having the Baptised Catholic, please make contact with me via my email below.
