Principal's Message

By Jenny Hassett

Hello Rollins families,

A busy end to the week with Ride to School Day, Harmony Day (wear a splash of orange) and a our BBQ Day this Friday. Always good to see our students riding their bikes around, developing their independence, coordination and having fun at the same time!

A thank you to our parent volunteers:

A big warm fuzzy thank you to Megan Bolton (Evie) and Steve Moxon (Tyson) for their help with our mulch. Also to Bernie Ward (Kyden) for helping with our BBQ this Friday.

Curriculum team attend Emina McClean presentation:

This week our curriculum team attended a teacher session which was run by Emina McClean. The session was focused on writing, and we were able to send a good sized team to assess our current practices at Rollins and look into any new practice that would benefit our students.

Tuesday 24th March - Stop Work:

As mentioned on Compass, Victorian Government schools will be affected by a Stop Work Action on Tuesday 24th March (full day). Staff at Rollins Primary School have notified that they will participating in this action.

Staff who are going to participate in the stop work will give notice to the school this Friday. We will then send information out ASAP to our families with which classes with/will not be affected.

IMPORTANT School Crossing Information:

As a reminder, please be compliant with the Rollins School crossing. Safety of students is a priority, and the crossing needs vision of the crossing area to ensure our kids are safe. Parking in the crossing area hinders vision for the crossing attendant.

Enjoy the lead up to Easter! Friday is our last assembly for the term, and therefore this is the last principal’s report for the term. Have a great two week Easter break if I don’t see you between now and our last day of the term Thursday 2nd April (2.30pm finish).
