Year 3-6 Sports Day

Last Friday, our Brooklyn Park and South Plympton Year 3-6 students united for Sports Day, having a fantastic time running, jumping, and throwing. We are very proud of all our students who did their best to compete and cheer for their teams. 

Congratulations to Topaz for winning first place, with only two points separating them from Ruby! 

Thank you to Emmaus amazing staff and sports department for organising such a great day for our students! We also extend our thanks to our valued parents and families who took the time to come along and support our students!

Buddy Time: Building friendships across the school

The Year 5/6 students have been spending special time with their Year 1/2 buddies this term. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for older and younger students to get to know one another, build friendships, and learn together.

During buddy time, students have enjoyed visiting the library to read together. The Year 5/6 students take on a leadership role by helping their younger buddies with reading, encouraging them, and modelling positive learning habits. It has been lovely to see the younger students grow in confidence as they share stories and practice their reading skills.

Our buddy sessions also include time learning about God together. Recently, students explored the truth that God is in control of everything. Through Bible verses, discussion, and activities, students reflected on how God created the world with wisdom and power and continues to care for it today.

Buddy time is always a highlight of the week. It is encouraging to see students supporting one another, building meaningful connections, and growing together in their understanding of God and His world.

Parent Coffee Connect

You are also welcome to join our students and stay for the Monday assembly starting at 9am at the Adelaide West Uniting Church (AWUC).
