Mr Simon Fairall - Deputy Principal, Junior School
We are excited to announce that in 2027 our Student Ambassador Program will continue to grow, with leadership opportunities available for budding future captains in Years 3, 4 and 5 in addition to our current Year 6 Leaders. A link will be distributed to students next week.
This expanded model allows more students to support our Captains in the portfolio areas of Service and Student Wellbeing, Environmental Stewardship and Creative Arts.
Nominations for Year 3–5 Ambassadors will open in Week 9, with students encouraged to put themselves forward for a range of leadership portfolios. We look forward to seeing their strengths, passions and ideas shine through.
Successful applicants will be announced during early Term 2 assemblies and will continue in their roles from Term 2 2026 until the end of Term 1 2027.
Wednesday 1 April
Our upcoming K–2 Cross Country and Athletics Day will once again be supported by our dedicated Year 6 leaders. Their enthusiasm and encouragement play a significant role in helping our younger students feel safe, supported and excited to participate. This year’s program includes a range of modified, age‑appropriate events designed to introduce students to the types of activities they will experience in future Athletics Carnivals, including:
Guided running of the cross country course to build confidence for the cross‑country component
We warmly encourage parents and guests to attend and support our young K–2 athletes as they participate with enthusiasm and courage. These cross‑age experiences continue to strengthen community connections and provide authentic opportunities for student leadership, with our Year 6 students modelling teamwork, encouragement and positivity throughout the day.
A Community of Connection, Character and Care
The Junior School continues to anchor its wellbeing culture in our Triangle of Focus, integrating:
Strong school–family partnerships – promoting open communication and shared expectations
Across all three elements, a consistent message continues to guide our approach: the importance of students speaking up early. When a child experiences or witnesses unkind behaviour, we strongly encourage them to report it to a trusted staff member so we can respond quickly, support all students involved, and maintain a safe and respectful school environment.
Communication with families is also key, and we continue to communicate with your child's class teacher and Stage Leader to support you child.
A key part of this work is helping students understand the shared language of being upstanders, not bystanders.
An upstander is someone who:
chooses actions that make the situation better, not bigger
By contrast, a bystander stays silent or walks away when someone needs support.
Teaching students to be upstanders empowers them to take positive action, look after their peers, and contribute to a culture where everyone feels safe, respected and valued. When students understand that their voice matters, they are more likely to speak up, show empathy and help restore relationships.
Families who wish to volunteer in 2026 and have not previously completed a Volunteer Induction are invited to join one of our upcoming sessions:
Tuesday 28 April, 4pm, online via Teams (for parents unable to attend the first session)
To be eligible to volunteer, parents must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and email it to: operations@trinityac.nsw.edu.au prior to being considered.
We deeply appreciate the contribution of our parent volunteers and thank you for your willingness to support the life of the school.
Thursday 2 April
This is always a colourful and joyous occasion where we create special hats to celebrate Easter. We are delighted to be able to invite families to join us in sharing in the excitement of the Parade.
When: Thursday 2 April at 12.55pm
You are welcome to take your child home after the parade.
Where: Common grassed area next to Library (weather permitting)
Who: K-2 families
We invite you to support the event by making an Easter Hat at home with your child and deliver it to their classroom teacher by Thursday 26 March. Please note, as we would like all students involved, any student without a hat will make a simple headband at school.
