Building personal qualities and skills to make a meaningful contribution to their community
As part of the AngliSchools Vision for Learning, this newsletter we highlight the learner attribute Purposeful.

Questions to ask at home:
By nurturing purpose, we help students see learning as more than completing tasks - it becomes an opportunity to grow and contribute.
Despite the nationwide technical issues that disrupted the first day of NAPLAN - when a widespread outage prevented many students from logging into the online testing platform, which led ACARA to pause assessments across the country - our students showed exceptional flexibility and composure. Students approached the assessments with focus and maturity.
Full school results are expected to be released from June 2026, with individual student reports provided to parents and carers at the start of Term 3, as advised nationally.
Thank you to the many families who attended our Term 1 Parent Seminar on Tuesday evening. Led by our Junior School Literacy Instructional Leader, Casey Meller, this seminar focused on practical ways parents can support reading development at home for students in Kindergarten to Year 2.
The session explored Trinity’s approach to early reading and shared simple, effective strategies families can use when reading with their children. Casey also addressed questions from parents, helping to clarify how home reading practices connect with the learning taking place in classrooms.
We were delighted with the strong turnout and the positive feedback from families, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to deepen their understanding of how children learn to read and how they can support this important skill at home.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. We look forward to offering further parent workshops throughout the year.

We were delighted to welcome Dr Nathaniel Swain back to Trinity this week. Nathaniel spent time working alongside our teachers in classrooms, modelling evidence-informed teaching practices and supporting staff as they refined their instructional approaches with a focus on Writing. In the afternoon, he also led a professional learning session for our teaching staff.
We feel very fortunate this year to be partnering with both Nathaniel and Brendan Lee. Their expertise and guidance continue to support our teachers in strengthening classroom practice and ensuring our students experience engaging, high-quality and research-informed learning every day.
