  • In Session 1 only for Foundation classes. Attention: Junior Specialist Teachers who will run La Grande Lessive in Foundation classes will need to finish packing up at 9.45am. Foundation students are expected at 9.55am in the Hall to perform their song  'Petit Escargot'!
  • In Sessions 1 & 2 for the other levels.
  • Keep collecting materials from your students in preparation for La Grande Lessive.
  • You can also collect PVA glue and a range of materials from the Art classroom - Thank you Jenn! 😊
  • As we are making collages this year, it would be preferable to provide your students with thick A4 paper (100 or 160gsm card) if you have any.
  • Display areas for all Year levels on Thursday:

    • Foundation: JC undercroft
    • Y1: on the fence along Le Jardin
    • Y2: under the 4 large trees along the path behind the Library on the Synthi
    • Y3: in front of Tim's classroom and the Science classroom - use the protective net as a support
    • Y4: on the basketball court fence along the Year 3 classrooms
    • Y5: in the sensory garden under the arches
    • Y6: on the fence between the Library and the Synthi

Signs indicating the Year levels will be provided at the beginning of Tuesday's meeting. Hang them on the lines with the artworks. Please return them to Caroline after La Grande Lessive so that we can reuse them next year.

  • Set up your 'washing lines' after school on Wednesday or before school on Thursday.
  • Open Morning: Grand-parents and Parents are invited to join your classrooms in Session 1 to participate in La Grande Lessive. They will leave before 10.00am to watch a performance in the Hall and enjoy a Morning Tea.
  • Save the second half of Session 2 to set up your display in your allocated area and take your classes around the school to look at other Year Levels' work.
  • Weather permitting, you could leave your display until Friday morning or decide to take it down at the end of the Thursday after 3.45pm. Artworks will be returned to students to take home on Friday.
  • At the end of Thursday, school gates will open earlier at 3.15pm to give more time to families to admire La Grande Lessive display.
