Notice of Election and Call for Nominations – Parent & DOE Employees
An election is to be conducted for members of the School Council of Macleod College.
Nominations opened on Tuesday February 20th and must be lodged by 4.00pm on Tuesday March 5th 2024.
Nomination Forms were attached to a COMPASS post to all families on Tuesday February 20th and are also available from Reception.
Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school on Tuesday March 5th 2024.
If there are more nominations than positions there will be an election with the following timeline:-
| On or before Friday March 8th 2024 | Distribution of ballot papers completed |
| Monday March 25th 2024 | Close of ballot at 4pm |
| Tuesday March 26th 2024 | Count votes and declare the poll |
| Wednesday March 27th 2024 | New Council meets 6.15pm |
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows –

Parent member (2 year term) | From Tuesday March 27th 2024 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2026.

| DOE employee member (2 year term) | From Tuesday March 27th 2024 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2026.

| DOE employee member (1 year term) | From Tuesday March 27th 2024 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2025.

If the number of nominations is less than the number of vacancies, a notice to that effect and calling for further nominations will be posted in a prominent position at the school.
