Home Inquiry
High Frequency Words: We will begin using these at school, once any unknown words are determined then they will be sent home for practicing.
Reading: Aim to read 15 minutes at home per night. Remember to keep chipping away at your Premiers Reading Challenge for this year.
Inquiry: As a family can you think of a place that means something to you. It could be your family's favourite holiday spot or a park or place you all go to frequently. We will be talking about this during the week at school.

Reminders:
Premier's Reading Challenge: This year in 2/3T students will have their own individual records to track the books they read. Students are required to read eight books from the book list and four free choice books. Year 3s will be borrowing yellow dot books from the Library and the Year 2s blue dots. The full list of suitable books for your child can be found online at this link: https://premiersreadingchallenge.sa.edu.au/book-list/
As you read books at home, please feel free to email them to me so I can help your child to add them to their list, or alternatively feel free to visit the classroom before or after school to add them to the list with your child. The lists will be kept at school.
Camp Volunteers:
We are seeking parent volunteers for camp and ask that any parents or caregivers that would like to volunteer and have met school volunteer requirements to come on the camp, please let class teachers know. Volunteer requirements can be found at the following link: https://www.goldengrove.sa.edu.au/parent-portal/volunteering/
Please contact your child’s class teacher by Friday Week 3, February 16th to register your interest.
