What’s been happening in the Year ¾ Community

The Year 3/4 Community has had a tremendous start to the school year. Everyone has settled well into their new Home Group. As a part of our connection to the theme, ‘Sea is our Best Friend,’ we traveled to Hastings foreshore on Friday 2nd February. The Year 3/4’s had an educational day which included; fossicking for mangrove seeds, preparing the seeds for planting and planting the seeds. Our aim was to rejuvenate the mangrove population as they play an integral part in preventing erosion. The Year 3/4 students demonstrated fantastic resilience and persistence during our excursion. Well done to our Year 3/4 Community for playing such an important role in sustaining our mangrove population!

Our Year 3/4 outdoor space has benefitted from a makeover! We have been extremely lucky to receive some new plants to enhance the space and make our school environment look fantastic. We would like to thank Mill and Marty for donating and planting the new additions to our planter boxes. Our students will continue to be active stewards of the earth and be kind by caring for these plants and the gardens within our school.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead in the Year 3/4 Community. We will be learners that will use our Learning Powers; curious, motivated, resilient, flexible, problem solvers, collaborative, reflective and creative.
