Focus on Science
Introducing Science!
This year marks the beginning of a new era as we welcome a dedicated Science Specialist to Fairfield Primary School. While our initial focus this year is on Science, we plan to introduce more aspects of STEM in the years to come.
For the first two weeks of the term, I have been working diligently to plan and prepare for an engaging science experience. During this time, students are enjoying an extra session of P.E. to keep them active and energised.
We are happy to share that the furniture for our science space has arrived, setting the stage for a hands-on and interactive learning environment.
The next step is the careful resourcing of materials and tools to ensure that our budding scientists have everything they need to explore the wonders of the scientific world.
This semester the students will be learning:
- Foundation - Chemical Science
- Year 1 - Biological Science
- Year 2 - Chemical Science
- Year 3 - Biological Science
- Year 4 - Chemical Science
- Year 5 - Biological Science
- Year 6 - Chemical Science
The science program is scheduled to start next week, and we can’t wait to see the enthusiasm and curiosity it sparks in our students.
