City of Glen Eira ~ Community News
Thank your volunteers
Our 2024 Volunteer Recognition Program is now open and will close midnight, Monday 8 March.
It's time to acknowledge the important contribution your volunteers make in building a better future for our community, as recognised in this year’s National Volunteer Week 2024 theme — Something for Everyone. People of all ages and backgrounds donate their time, talents, gifts and hearts to build a more cohesive community for us all. Nominate your volunteers now.
Good Neighbour Recognition Program
Do you know a neighbour who is friendly, helpful and inspires others through their acts of kindness? You can nominate them to be recognised as part of Council's Good Neighbour Recognition Program.
Information on connecting with your neighbours is available on Council's website.
Carer Support
Are you an unpaid carer in Glen Eira? Are you caring for someone in your family or maybe a friend or neighbour? If so, we have several activities throughout the year to support and recognise the role you play in our community. These activities are a place for carers to relax, exercise and connect.
Activities are free and limited to unpaid carers living or caring for someone in Glen Eira.
