In Year 1/2 we are developing our mathematical mindsets. We know that everyone learns differently, but everyone can learn math to high levels.
In both classrooms, we have been exploring the number system and how we can organise tools to help us count, add and subtract efficiently. We work together as we tackle open-ended questions. We use different tools and materials to show our thinking and prove our results. The more visual we are the better. Then, share with other teams our
visual thinking, helping us all make deeper connections and understanding.
