If you have a valid means—tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible.
There is also special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families. Payment amounts this year are $400.00 for eligible primary school students. Payment are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child. If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application from this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office on 93069481 and ask for an application form or we have some in the stand at the front office. Check with the school office if you are unsure and please return completed forms to the school as soon as possible with your card so we can photo copy your eligible card.
Student Medications
Please see below our new procedures for medications at school.
All medications being administered at school must be:
- Accompanied by written advice providing directions for appropriate storage and administration. (Action Plans, Medication Authority Forms)
- Be in its original container with the original label including the name of the student, information on the dosage and time to be administered. (Box of tablets, bottle or tube with label on it)
- Be in expiry date, medications cannot be administered if out of date.
- Stored according to the product instructions, particularly in relation to temperature. (Letting us know if medication is to be in the fridge etc.)
Parents and/or carers are encouraged to consider whether they can administer medication outside the school day, such as before and after school and before bed as a first option.
Students are not permitted to store medication in their school bags for safety reasons, medications will be taken off them and stored at the office.
Please see below requirements for paperwork to be completed asap for your child/ren, without the below paperwork we cannot administer your child’s medication.
Action Plans and Medication Authority Forms need to be filled out and signed by your doctor. Please see attached Medication Authority Form.
If you could please fill out the Action Plans and Medication Authority Forms as soon as possible and hand them in to the office, I can then give you the Individual Management Plan to sign.
If you are not sure if you have an updated plan please see First Aid Officer Miss Jill to discuss further, either face to face, calling 9306 9481 or email Westbreen.ps@education.vic.gov.au
