If you have not already done so, can you please respond to the email that was sent to you last week regarding completing your Annual Update and Commitment. This is essential to us being able to commence using our new school system Veracross. It is also your opportunity to select your payment plan for your 2026 school fees and avoid it being defaulted to expecting an up front payment in February next year.
If you are having issues completing it please email vcsupport@ncs.nsw.edu.au so we can help you.
A big thank you to the many families who have already completed theirs, your assistance with this matter is very much appreciated.

Dear Nowra Christian School Community,
I have been offered a position at Illawarra Christian School as a primary teacher. It is with much sadness, and a priority on my growing family that I have accepted that position. I am heart broken to be leaving the beautiful community at Nowra Christian School. To all the students, I am praying for you to find fulfilment in Jesus, be resilient through life's challenges, and have fun while learning.
Thank you NCS community for the blessing that you has been on me and my family. I will continue praying, that God, who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Your brother in Christ,
Luke Thorn

We are hoping to revive the Duke of Ed program at NCS in 2026.
The Duke of Ed is a leading global youth development framework, providing opportunities for young Australians aged 14-24 to fulfil their personal passions and ambitions, and to connect with other people in their community.
Taking part in the Duke of Ed is a life-changing experience, empowering young Australians to learn new skills, get physically active, be rewarded through volunteering and discover a sense of adventure outside the classroom.
The program has four components: service, skill, physical activity and adventurous journey. It requires a minimum commitment of 3 months with approx one hour per week to complete these components.
It is a fantastic opportunity, but also requires perseverance by the participants. There is also a cost involved, but funding may be available for eligible students.
More information to come.
If you are interested and would like more information, please speak to Mrs Wilkinson or Mrs Edwards.

Students in the Opal network applying for an Opal card (including a Term Bus Pass) for the first time will receive their School Opal card at their nominated postal address from mid-January 2026.
Students progressing from Year 2 to Year 3 and from Year 6 to Year 7 need to re-apply.
Where a student meets the new distance eligibility, the system will automatically update their entitlement. If they do not meet the new distance requirements, they will receive an expiry notification.
Students who change address, school, campus location, have repeated a year or received an expiry notification for their school travel entitlement need to renew or update their details before the end of term 4. This will ensure that schools can endorse applications before the end of the year, so students travel entitlement can remain valid for the start of the 2026 school year.
Students who have an entitlement approved under a medical condition that is due to expire will receive a notification advising them to re-apply.
Term Bus Pass holders will receive a notification to re-apply.

We recently launched our Community Prayer Network—a new initiative designed especially for parents and others who care deeply about the life and mission of Nowra Christian School.
This network provides a meaningful opportunity to support our school community through regular prayer. By signing up to receive monthly prayer updates, you’ll stay informed and be equipped to pray intentionally for the students, staff, and families of our school.
Join us as we stand together in faith, lifting Nowra Christian School in prayer and trusting God to work in every part of our community.
