Message from the Principal

Welcome back to what is shaping up to be another exceptional year at Clayfield College. I extend a particularly warm welcome to the new families joining the Clayfield family in 2026. We are delighted to partner with you in the journey of learning and look forward to getting to know you through the variety of upcoming events. This year, we are pleased to welcome 158 new students to the College, further enriching our vibrant and diverse community.

Thank you for the trust you place in us each day. Your partnership, encouragement and belief in Clayfield College are deeply valued. The relationships we share with you not only enriches the life of the College but is an integral aspect of facilitating the experience for every student. 

As we commence another academic year, I do so with a deep sense of gratitude and optimism. As a community we continue to have much to celebrate and look forward to. We are proud of the accomplishments of the Class of 2025, encouraged by our continued enrolment growth, and energised by the initiatives and opportunities that are planned for 2026. At the heart of all we do remains a simple but powerful commitment: ensuring that everything we do is fuelled by and for our students.

As a learning community, we continue to realise a bold, imaginative and reflective vision of a thriving co-educational school - one that adds life-long value to the education of our motivated and conscientious students. Our aim is to nurture young people who will positively impact their world through lived integrity, sustainability, inclusivity and service.

Clayfield College is a place where we seek to unlock individual passions and create opportunities for every student to shine. As our community continues to grow, we are however mindful that growth must be accompanied by care. In many ways, the bigger we become, the smaller we must act, paying close attention to how people feel in every interaction, because the little things truly matter.

In the words of Mother Theresa, 

“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

This means moving beyond simply doing the work at hand with competence and efficiency, towards building authentic connections that not only bring meaning and colour to the journey but ensure that it is one based on kindness. What we offer each day is more than facilities, contemporary technologies and well-resourced classrooms. At its heart, a Clayfield education is about the power of connection, care and kindness as we walk alongside each student, and their family, throughout the learning journey.

As a community, we strive to work in true partnership with our families to create an innovative environment where every student is known, valued and understood. We courageously work together as Team Clayfield - remaining open-minded, embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth, and always placing students at the centre of every decision we make. By drawing on our collective wisdom, we grow stronger each day.

As we head into 2026, I encourage each of us to:

• seek out the light in moments of darkness;
• believe in one another and draw strength from our collective wisdom; and

• be driven by kindness and the positive impact we can have on others and on the Clayfield story. 

   

Together, as we continue to grow stronger and wiser, we will once again show the world the very best of Clayfield College. I look forward to working alongside you as our community’s light shines brightly throughout 2026.
