Hello everyone,

Hello everyone,

here is our second newsletter for the year as we end week three of the term.

Helping Kids with disaster

Following the recent devastating fires in Harcourt and surrounding areas, we are working with Castlemaine Community House and Delkhaya Health to present an informative session to help parents support children following a natural disaster.

The session will be held on 18 Feb 5.00-6.30pm in the MP room at the school.

You can register via the link below or scan the below code.

Registration is required as spaces are limited. Childcare will be available

Whole school picnic Thursday 5th of February 3.30-4.30

A huge thank you to the parents who were able to assist with setting up and running the bbq at the picnic. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. It was lovely to see so many parents chatting to each other and school staff as children had fun.

Breakfast Club

Taradale PS participates in the Breakfast Club programme operated by Food Bank Victoria. This provides the school with a range of food at no cost to provide to students for breakfast and other meals if needed. All students are eligible and welcome to attend the Breakfast Club, however we need parent or community volunteers to offer the service between 8.30 and 9.00. If you would like to assist or know more, please contact the school office.

Parents and Friends

Please refer to our Parents and Friends page for more information about this group

School hats

It is a SunSmart requirement that students wear a broad brim hat when the UV is forecast to be 3 or above (generally terms 1 and 4). School hats are usually available for purchase from the school office, but we are waiting for the latest order to arrive. Students may wear broad brim hats from home while we wait for school hats. Students who do not wear a hat are asked to play under one of the three shade sail areas, under the verandahs or under the elms in the sandpit. If you do not want your child to wear a hat, please send me an email stating so.

walking excursion, internet access and photo permission
