A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carergivers

I am thrilled to share with you the outstanding participation and enthusiasm our students have shown in two recent events: the One Big Voice and the Book Week Parade. These events not only highlight the talents and creativity of our students but also strengthen our school community.

One Big Voice

Over 50 of our primary students shone brightly at the One Big Voice event on Thursday 22 August at the RAC Arena, where they joined thousands of other young voices to create a harmonious and uplifting musical experience. It was a true joy to hear of their dedication during rehearsals, where they practised with passion and energy. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing not only their vocal talents but also their ability to work together as a team. The pride and joy on their faces as they sang in unison with other schools was a testament to the power of music in bringing people together.

I want to extend a special thank you to Mrs Port and Mr Leeder who supported the students throughout their preparation. Your guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in their success. Additionally, I would like to commend the students for their commitment and hard work. You have represented our College with excellence, and we are incredibly proud of you.

Book Week Parade

The Book Week Parade on Tuesday was another highlight of our College calendar, and it was fantastic to see the creativity and enthusiasm of our students from Kindy to Year 10 as well as our staff on full display. From classic literary characters to imaginative new creations, the costumes were a vibrant celebration of reading and storytelling. Our students truly brought their favourite books to life, and it was evident that a great deal of thought and effort went into their costumes.

This event not only promotes a love of reading but also encourages students to express themselves creatively. It was heartwarming to see the pride each student took in their costume and the excitement as they paraded around the college, sharing their love for books with peers, teachers, and parents/caregivers alike.

I would like to thank the parents and caregivers for your support in helping your children prepare for this event. Your involvement is invaluable in making these moments special for our students. I also want to acknowledge our dedicated teachers and staff who organised and facilitated the event, ensuring it was a day to remember for everyone involved.

Both the One Big Voice and the Book Week Parade have been wonderful opportunities for our students to showcase their talents, creativity, and school spirit. These events remind us of the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment where every student has the opportunity to shine.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of these events. Together, we continue to build a school community that celebrates learning, creativity, and collaboration.

Peace & Goodness to all,

Ian Hagen
