This week we celebrate Book Week and thank God for the gift of books and reading.
Loving God,
We thank You for the precious gift of books
and for the joy of reading,
blessings that we often overlook.
In the words that inspire and the pages that enlighten,
we find a wellspring of wisdom and wonder.
Bless the authors, illustrators,
and all who help to bring these stories to life.
May the stories we explore open our eyes to new perspectives,
nurture our compassion,
and guide us in understanding the beauty of Your creation.
Let the lessons we collect from these pages
draw us closer to one another,
to the world around us,
and to You,
the source of all truth.
