Year 7/8 Girls Teams both take first place in the SACSA Netball Grand Finals

Last Friday, the Year 7/8 Girls Netball teams attended the SACSA Carnival. Since many students trialled, we chose to take two teams: one in the gold division and the other in the silver division.

The gold team was undefeated all day, finishing minor premiers after seven games. They continued their winning streak in the finals and won the grand final.

The silver team only dropped one game in the minor rounds. They won both of their finals to win the grand final of the silver division.

It was a great day for Emmaus, and many girls in the teams are in our Netball Development program.

It is great seeing their skills improve. A fun day.

Little Athletics SA - Registrations now open

Little Athletics is a modified athletics program for children of all abilities aged 3 – 17 years. It is based on a wide range of track and field events including: running, jumping, throwing and walking.

Little Athletics is a family sport that is heavily reliant on parents and volunteers to assist each week so our great athletes can participate in running, jumping, throwing and walking events successfully! As the parent/caregiver of the child, it is important to understand the sport and how you can be a significant support to them in their Little Athletics journey.

Below is the type of sessions a Little Athletics Club offers during the season:

  • Weekly Club Meets: At meets, their results will be recorded for each event they participate in so they can track their PB’s progress and race against their friends. Results are stored in your ResultsHQ account for you to view at any time—this is linked to your registration account, so you have one login for all your Little Aths needs!
  • Training: At training, they can work with coaches on their running, jumping, throwing and walking skills so they can quickly improve on their personal bests (PBs).
