Jack's outstanding Basketball achievements

Year 5 student Jack has had an outstanding season playing with the South Adelaide Panthers Basketball Club in the Division 1 district competition, contributing significantly to his team's success. 

His team recently won the State Champions Tournament, which included the top district and country teams from South Australia. Jack's team also competed in the prestigious "Classics Tournament" in Victoria, where the top four Junior Division 1 teams from each state are invited. Jack’s team placed 5th overall, ranking them the highest South Australian team. The Panthers capped off their season with a dominant win in the grand final over the North Adelaide Rockets, finishing the regular season with an impressive 17-1 record.

Jack is also known for his respectful, honest and fair approach to the game as well as his energetic engagement with teammates and peers. Well done Jack, this is phenomenal. 

SAETA Young Writers’ Award 

Scarlett L (Year 12) came second overall in the Year 11/12 prose category for the SAETA (South Australian English Teachers Association) Young Writers’ Award for her beautiful recount, The Glass Child. 

She attended an Awards Ceremony on Friday night and her work will be published in the SAETA Opinion Volume 68.3 - Young Writers Edition.
