Prep Responsible Pet Ownership Incursion

Last week, the Preps had a visit from a Pet Educator who spoke to us about responsible pet ownership. Through singing, role play and dancing, we learnt how to look after and be safe around dogs.  Some lucky students even had the chance to practise and pat our guest dog, Jackie! It was a great session that helped provide our students with real life skills to ensure that they are safe around our canine friends!

"If there is an angry dog, put your arms down, look down at the ground and be calm and quiet." Dylan

"We learnt that we don't touch dogs when they are eating!" Ari

Grade 1 News

On Wednesday, the Grade 1's went on an excursion to the Botanical Gardens.  It was a beautiful day and we all had lots of fun.

We did some activities including: nature art, fern forest walk and making potpourri bags.

House Athletics Day

On August 15th, we held our highly anticipated 2024 House Athletics Carnival at the Tom Kelly Athletics Track. The event was a fantastic showcase of energy and talent, with students from Grades Prep, 1, and 2 participating in a variety of fun rotational activities and races. Meanwhile, our Grades 3-6 students competed with enthusiasm in the track and field events of their choice. The day was filled with exciting moments, from impressive long jumps and lightning-fast sprints to awe-inspiring high jumps. We even had a student break our high jump school record!

We are incredibly proud of all our students, whether they earned ribbons or showed unwavering determination to earn points for their house. Our Athletics Carnival was a true reflection of our school's core values. A big congratulations to Aumann for their well-deserved victory on the day!
