Welcome to Week 6!

This week is Book Week where 'Reading is Magic!'. The students have had lots of fun dressing up as their favourite book characters and learning about how to become an author and illustrator, with our visit from author Nicky Johnston. They even got to draw their own masterpiece!

Father's Day Stall

On Thursday 29th August & Friday 30th August, the Father's Day Stall will be held in the library for the students to purchase gifts for their dads or special person. Please ensure money is in a ziploc bag with your child's name and grade on it, to avoid any lost money. Please bring no more than $20 and a reusable to store the fabulous goodies in. Year 1 students will be purchasing from the Father's Days Stall on Thursday the 29th August. The Grade 2s will be going over both days, classroom teachers will email parents with the date early next week.

Father's Day Lunch

On Friday 30th of August, all Dads, Grandpas and Special Friends are invited to Vermont Primary to attend the Father's Day Lunch. The lunch is held from 12:30pm - 1:10pm, where parents can bring a special lunch along to share with their child/grandchild. Year 1s lunch will be held in the Pirate Ship Area and Year 2s lunch will be held in the area at the front of the school. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent Teacher Interviews will be running on the 9th and 10th of September. Booking through Compass will be available on Monday 26th August. If you have any trouble booking an interview, let your child's classroom teacher know via email. 

Early Pickups

If you are picking up your child early from school, please let your child's teacher or the office know the morning of, to ensure your child is ready as they may be attending a specialist class, and so the office staff are aware. 

Lunchbox Cutlery

If your child has items in their lunchbox that requires a fork or spoon, can you please ensure the appropriate cutlery is packed, as staff do not always have cutlery to give them.

Box of Tissues

Grade 2s are in desperate need for tissues! If possible, we are asking students to bring in a box of tissues so then we can keep all our germs nice and safe and practise good hygenie skills.

Salt Crystals Update

At the beginning of Term 3, the Year 1s made salt crystals and we have been watching them grow over the past few weeks. Here is an update of how some of them look now!
