Persuasive Writing in Year 5
This week on Wednesday when our Year 5 students entered the classroom they were met with a worrying conundrum. Their Chromebooks had quit!! They had barricaded themselves in their charging cupboards and refused to come out. On top of the charging cupboard was a letter that spelt out a list of demands that needed to be met in order for the Chromebooks to return to work.
For their Big Write this week, our Year 5 students were tasked with the difficult job of persuading them to return by way of completing a letter addressed to the Chromebooks outlining how their demands will be met and why they need to return.
What a great example it was of an engaging way to spark students creativity in persuasive writing.
